Medical Aid for Rape Survivors
We have been able to provide hepatitis vaccines, contraception, antibiotics, medical equipment, sanitary pads, soap, food, and clothing to women in different parts of Tigray.
Tackling Food Insecurity
Ahwatna has been providing food to some of the displaced families in Tigray and we will continue to do so as there is currently a man-made famine in Tigray. So far, we have provided food during Eid, helped IDPs celebrate Easter by providing food, and have an ongoing initiative of providing groceries to malnourished children living in IDPs with critical illnesses.
General Donations
Ahwatna is equally committed to helping Tigray in different ways. So far, we have been able to send much-needed clothing, mattresses and blankets to IDPs. Additionally, we are committed to different initiatives and are currently working to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the middle of the genocidal war. We have also recently donated school supplies as well as teaching materials for the teachers at Don Bosco College.
